I'd like to add that it should be said that the the standard edition is
always a good replacement for the trial edition.
We mainly use the HQ edition for like additional PCs or someone bringing
his laptop, or something like that.
What I see as a problem that actually didnt happen this year because
there were no new features - but two years ago, when v3 was introduced,
with logsync, and this also without much time to test, so we ran into
deep trouble...
I would appreciate for next year to have a clear statement a couple
weeks before HQ what can be expected, and a protocol freeze that the
then tested full versions will interoperate seamlessly with the then
to be released HQ version. The HQ version is nice, but please do realize
that you usually put much more money into gas to drive to the HQ
location than what an official WT would cost; and last I checked the
license conditions you could use this one license on all your clubs
computers.

Its easy: If you dont have IT specialists on your team: too bad. You can
always resort to paper logs. If you dont have a cook, well, you'll have
to operate hungry. Other sports have doctors and therapists on the
support staff... You can do without, but you will not be top class.

Go disable sync. We have done it this year. It works reasonably well and
still much better than no networking. And it does work on GPRS links -
we have done that, too.
Its the same thing as with the IT admins of above: If you really think
you need more bandwith for that may improve your score, then find someone
who knows how to set up sufficiently high bandwith network links.
Its not that hard. Look, fifteen years ago you learned how to utilize
packet clusters. Today its internet. Tomorrow you will learn SDR technology.
Its called technical progress, thats all...

Trust the computer industry to shorten "Year 2000" to Y2K. It was this kind
of thinking that caused the problem in the first place.
