removal of a known mistake from a log submission to avoid a penalty to
the submitting station but will give credit to the other station for the
QSO. Sounds reasonable. So for CQ contests, just edit the Cabrillo
log file substituting X-QSO for QSO in the erroneous contact
lines -- it does not require a modification to the WinTest software until
all contest sponsors accept X-QSO.</FONT></DIV>

The use of X-QSO in a log for a contest that does not support it creates
various problems with the log submission. At best the QSO is ignored, and the
other person will get a NIL. At worse your log is treated as a check
