I use a large patch panel to terminate all my feeders and then use patch leads to the antenna switch box, or radios as required. The 15m and 40m plugs on the back of the panel, where the outdoor antenna feeders are terminated, had pretty much begun to separate, probably with weight and age. It was not easy to see, but the outer on 15m had almost separated from the coax plug, and the one on 40m wasn’t much better. I’m using crappy coax on 15m too, which is not filling up the hole on the back of the PL259 plug. So, after a remake, the problem appears to be resolved. So much so that my cross-talk between 40m and other higher bands is negligible. I’d forgotten how good it had been!<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Calibri","sans-serif";color:#1F497D'>Bob – just to clarify - the 40m antenna is resonant on a compromise frequency around 7.1, so it not a good match for lower end CW. Fixing the plug reduced the SWR a good bit.
