<DIV>Are you listening to CW keying in the FT2000 monitor or the PC
speaker?</DIV>
<DIV><BR></DIV>Type NOSOUND [Enter] in the Logging window. Sidetone
monitoring via PC speaker (which often doesn't work at all on newer PCs) can
affect CW timing on the keying circuit.
<DIV><BR></DIV>
<DIV>If that doesn't help, try WEIGHT [Enter] in the logging window, and
adjust the value up or down to see if that makes it sound better.</DIV>
<DIV><BR></DIV>
<DIV>Finally since you are using Serial port keying via COM1, make sure CW
keying via any other port such as COM2 or LPT or WinKey is disabled.<BR>

OK. However trouble sending CW with any of the function keys, or the CW
