Actually LPT keying in Win-Test through the MK2R+ works smoother, in my opinion, than the Winkey. But then touching the paddles will not interrupt your CW (doesn't bother me, I just press Escape).</div>
<div><br></div><div>Win-Test communicates with the Winkey one character at a time. N1MM Software does it a different way. Speed jumps when using Win-Test with the Winkey have been a long term problem, especially if you do not choose the "Independent speed" option, and especially if you speed up and speed down with +++ and --- within your CW messages. So, avoid "+++" in all CW messages, select the "Independent speed" rather than the Synchronized speed option in WKSETUP, and the speed jumps should go away.</div>
<div><br></div><div>Hint: if you want your station to be spotted by CW Skimmer more easily, do NOT use ANY speed jumps in your CW messages. These speed changes make it much harder for CW Skimmer to lock on to your CW speed and decode your signal.</div>
