You probably listed some keys in the wrong order. The key you want to do something new (like Page Up), has to be in the first column, and the key you want that normallky does the function (like Alt+F10 for speed up) in the second column. This is explained in more detail here with a step-by-step example: https://docs.win-test.com/wiki/Menu:Tools#Redefine_keyboard_keys Then do the same with the SCRIPTS command to note hot keys that are defined there. If the same key is defined in both places, the one in the Scripts Manager is used. Also make sure CapsLock is not activated. 73, Bob, N6TV On Wed, Jul 7, 2021 at 10:50 PM wrote: > Hello everyone: > > > > One of my win-test installations does not respond to commands? > for example, alt-v does not open the code speed dialog, and alt-F9 does not > change the SSB tempo. Indeed, you're right. Unfortunately, I don't have a solution at this moment for this issue by using Win-Test. I will check if this can be modified/improved in a next version, but it won't be available soon. If you send me privately your log with the complete details of the Q to be shifted and the amount of shift, I should be able to do it with a quick and dirty code ;-) . Let me know. 73 Larry - F6FVY -- All of humanity's problems stem from man's inability to sit quietly in a room alone. Blaise Pascal, Pens?es From bjorn at ekelund.nu Wed Jul 14 12:09:55 2021 From: bjorn at ekelund.nu (=?UTF-8?Q?Bj=C3=B6rn_Ekelund?=) Date: Wed, 14 Jul 2021 12:09:55 +0200 Subject: [WT-support] ADIF export Message-ID: After helping some stations merge logs for distributed entries in the IARU HF Championship I noticed that the ADIF export for that particular contest (and perhaps others) is a bit off. The STX key (which is of the type "integer") used for the sent exchange is defined as a serial number in the ADIF standard. For a general exchange like "18", "SSA", or "RSGB", the ADIF standard suggests the use of the STX_STRING key. Also, the SRX key (which is used for the received exchange) is of type "integer" and intended for a serial number. For a received exchange like an ITU Zone or HQ acronym, the ITUZ and SRX_STRING keys are the ones that apply. Since each contest has its own combination of exchange types and order, I can appreciate the challenge in coding a "perfect" ADIF export. A simple solution could be to just use STX_STRING and SRX_STRING for sent and received exchange and beyond that, ignore the type (CQ Zone, State, Name, etc.) of the exchange elements. I think that would cover 99% of all cases. Just a minor issue in an otherwise excellent logger. Bj?rn SM7IUN -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... I also checked the properties on the lpt1 port in the device manager....THE PORT address is also 378 Wonder if the LPT1 is realy working with win 10 pro...32 bits.. It realy works well with Win7 and XP PRO/ What could be wrong?? Thanks Noel From n6tv at arrl.net Wed Jul 21 01:47:55 2021 From: n6tv at arrl.net (Bob Wilson, N6TV) Date: Tue, 20 Jul 2021 16:47:55 -0700 Subject: [WT-support] CW WITH LPT1 WINDOWS 10 In-Reply-To: <62c37159-206b-28df-b3e4-e1a506feec9c@globetrotter.net> References: <62c37159-206b-28df-b3e4-e1a506feec9c@globetrotter.net> Message-ID: Win10 Pro 32 bits is very rare. Are you sure it is not Win10 Pro 64 bit? See https://www.engadget.com/windows-10-32-bit-oem-173055990.html . When you installed the latest version (?) of Win-Test on Windows 10, did you remember to select "Run as Administrator" to run the FULL installer (not just the update)? http://download.win-test.com/v4/bin/wt-4.37.0.exe And after you ran the installer, Test, did you change the *Properties* of wt.exe to "Run as Administrator"? Both steps are strongly recommended. You will also need dlportio.dll or (inpout32.dll renamed) in the Win-Test installation folder. The full installer should do this otherwise you should get some error message if the LPT box is checked. Older instructions here: http://lists.f5mzn.org/pipermail/support/2011-May/081094.html Finally, did you open an SSB log or a CW log? Is the rig in CW mode and does this mode show up in Win-Test? Type REOPEN [Enter] to view the log mode. SSB logs generate no CW. What rig are you using? Many modern rigs support CW and PTT keying by virtual DTR and RTS pins over USB cable, so you don't need LPT any more. See my presentation on this: - Everything You Need to Know About USB and Serial Interfaces , updated for 2021 Slide 50 and following explains keying via COM port and lists which radios support it, and how to enable it. 73, Bob, N6TV On Tue, Jul 20, 2021 at 4:31 PM NOEL POULIN wrote: > Hello > > I am trying to make my LPT1 port working in cw with a new WIN 10 PRO > > It is working perfectly with Win7 and XP > > With my new WIN10 PRO, no joy... > > I put the same settings in LPT windows of Wintest > > Port adr (hex) 378 > > CW and PTT checked > > Active radio 1 checked. > > I also checked the properties on the lpt1 port in the device > manager....THE PORT address is also 378 > > Wonder if the LPT1 is realy working with win 10 pro...32 bits.. > > It realy works well with Win7 and XP PRO/ > > What could be wrong?? > > Thanks > > Noel > > > > _______________________________________________ > Support mailing list > support at win-test.com > http://lists.f5mzn.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/support > -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
