What radio type? With an Elecraft K3, you can use the Inhibit pins
and the Simple
Lockout Circuit <https://bit.ly/K3lockout> I designed with N6KR, but use a
5V linear regulated power supply with a 10K pullup resistor to each Inhibit
pin instead of Pin 1 to provide the +5V as shown (unless you are using AFSK
instead of FSK, in which case you can use the ACC port FSK pin for the +5V).
Note that this is not a "First One Wins" system; if both radios try to
transmit at the same time, both will stop transmitting until there is only
one left that is asserting PTT. This is due to a limitation of the K3
firmware (inhibited radio still closes its PTT output). I hope to convince
Elecraft to change this behavior some day.
