[WT-support] Letter/numbers in DVK

Win-Test has never supported automatically sending phonetics and serial
numbers with voice keying the way that CT used to do when using the old
K1EA DVP board (on an ancient ISA bus no less). Maybe you are thinking of
some other software?
In Win-Test, there are only seven programmable voice messages, F1 to F7, no
more. They are saved as .WAV files under C:\ProgramData\Win-Test\Ops\. A
separate set of messages can be saved for each operator and each contest.
Use the OPON command to switch operators, then reprogram the messages (once
for every operator). Note that you can also switch operators just by
typing the "Nickname" of the op. in the logging window ("Bob", "Rag",
etc.), and pressing [Enter]. This saves time over using OPON to switch
ops.
Use the OPON dialog (once per computer) to program the nicknames for each
operator callsign.
Win-Test voice messages are automatically stored at 9 different "speeds,"
and you can "speed up" or "slow down" any voice message somewhat by
pressing Alt-F10 and Alt-F9, similar to CW. The current speed is displayed
at the bottom of the Rate windows (Alt-R) as a speed percentage (100% =
normal speed).
For consistency with the way things work on CW and RTTY, when you press
INSERT, the Win-Test DVK sends the F2 message. When you press PLUS, WT
sends the F3 message and logs the QSO.
