[WT-support] Setup - All PCs configured the same?

Hi Bob,

That’s all worked perfectly, thank you. Following the steps you detailed, all the PCs are now running identical setups. As it happens, all the stations will be running exactly the same equipment so I didn’t have to make any changes apart from renaming each PC once I’d copied the files over.

George also answered so I’ll pick up on his points.

This isn’t for a contest, it’s to log for a special event station (https://www.qrz.com/db/gb5rc <https://www.qrz.com/db/gb5rc>) I’m running in a few weeks time and as I’ve used Win-Test successfully for a DXPedition a couple of years ago, it seemed sensible to use something I’m familiar with. Sadly, I don’t still have the laptops I used back in 2014 so that’s why I’m starting from scratch. We will have two stations running simultaneously with a third laptop as a spare. Yes, they’re all linked together and the log is synchronised between them.

As for running the latest version, well the answer is simple. I set up the first laptop and started getting the windows open and in the positions I wanted a few weeks ago and the version I downloaded then was 4.20. I see that 4.21 is now available so I’ll update them.

73 and thanks for the help.

If all you want to copy is the messages, use the new "Load" button at the bottom of the Messages window to load messages from an another log file or a text file (.smsg) created by the new "Save as" button button.

Copy that registration key to the Window Clipboard and paste it into a separate file before you replace any files.)
