[WT-support] IC7800 DVK LUA Script

Hi Dennis,

Unlike other manufacturers, Icom radios have never supported a CI-V command
to activate voice or CW memories. There are memory programming commands,
but no playback commands. Newer Icom radios such as the IC-7600 and
IC-7851 contain built-in sound cards that Win-Test can use, but the IC-7800
does not.

The only was to play IC-7800 voice memories is to use the radio menu or
construct an "External Keypad," as documented in the manual.

I have designed a circuit to activate Icom voice memories directly from
Win-Test via the radio's "external keypad" connector. But to use it, you
need a computer with a real parallel port, not a USB-to-parallel adapter.

One disadvantage of using voice memories is that Win-Test has no way to
know when a voice memory has finished transmitting, so, it's usually only
practical only for SO1R operating, not SO2R.

Instead, I recommend using Win-Test Sound Card voice keying, perhaps via
the S/PDIF optical digital audio interface on the back of the IC-7800, or
ACC 1 PIN 4 (analog "modulator" input).
