I agree this CW Skimmer option in wtDxTelnet needs to be explained better.
I'll try to update the Wiki some day.

The CW Skimmer checkbox should never be selected unless you have an SDR and
are running CW Skimmer on a PC in your shack, and you are connecting
wtDxTelnet directly to that computer's local telnet server (e.g. localhost
port 7300).  Do *not* use it when connecting to a public RBN server or DX
Cluster.

The SKIMMER/QSY commands are special commands only recognized by CW
Skimmer's telnet server, and only generated when the CW Skimmer box is
checked.  They tell CW Skimmer to move the cursor (in CW Skimmer) to a new
frequency.

Then you can use CW Skimmer as narrow band scope (but it's not as useful as
a P3, LP-PAN, etc.).
