Larry et all!

We noticed at EF4HQ a similar behavior. Each computer at EF4HQ Network had
severe discrepancy between the QSO's; and even at my LAN Network (cable @
100Mb) I noticed that my 2 computers (bridgehead and a normal station) had
around 400 QSOs of difference. Sync "command" didn't help and added an
"extra" traffic into the EF4HQ Network.

I know that it's difficult to reproduce this problem since you need a lot of
computers in the scene but this point should be added into the "TODO" List
for next year. If we can help you to reprodude this enviroment, let me know.
We can help you to generate this huge traffic with a simulator tool.

Regards,

Pablo EA4TX at EF4HQ Team

Asunto: [WT-support] Win-Test Bridgehead Sync Problems

Hello Larry,

Unfortunately,
we are seing severe instability all over the net again for this year's HQ
setup. Admittedly, with some 60 computers in the net, this is a slightly
bigger than usual operation, but:

There is a severe discrepancy between the QSO # at the local bridgehead
station and all other stations in the local LAN, differing by some 500 QSOs.

I have tried restarting the bridgehead station -- no change of situation. I
demoted that bridgehead to be a normal station and made another station
bridgehead.
This caused a *HUGE* ammount of sync traffic on the outside net, and I am
slowly getting all those missing QSOs in, but still, it does not look like
the other stations in the LAN are catching on.

Anything I can look at and do to find that problem ?

Also: When Auto-loading the contest file on start of win-test, on the time
master, it appears time master functionality is not enabled (ie. no TIME
packets are being sent). This only happens if you manually load the contest
file...

[note: still at 4.16 since as always 4.17 was too late for testing...]

Best regards and good luck in the contest,

Mario, @DA0HQ
