I have been using win-test on linux for quite some time now. I have only 
operated CW contests so far (with DTR keying)
and everything seems to work OK. I am using Fedora 20 rather than ubuntu 
but this should not matter.
Also, I haven't tried anything fancy like recording through sound card 
etc. but will get there eventually.
