I dont have WT on this PC right now, so I am answering without having the chance to check if my guess is 
right. However, I think the difference is because you have some dupe qsos in the log. if you would have 0 dupes, AVG 
PTS and AVG DIS should be exactly the same. by having dupes in the log, AVG PTS considers only valid qsos and AVG DIS 
does it considering the total amount of qso included dupes.
Please check this, I hope that it helps you and that what I 
suggest is correct.

Why is in the summary window a difference between AVG PTS and AVG DIS?

In my view it should be the same value, 
but it differes from begin of 
the contest on
and the differences increase ...
