[WT-support] WinKey for PTT in SSB ?

The winkey chip does have a command called "key immediate" which
could assert PTT during the DVK message if WT was programmed
for it.
I use W1WEF LPT interface connector for PTT now for SSB. It would
be nice to just use the Winkeyer's PTT for both modes.

I don't think that is possible. If you are using an original WinKey chip
rather than a WinKey2, you can try setting Second Output (Pin 5) to PTT, in
WKSETUP, but that may only work for CW mode.
I guess the only alternative is to get that through an additional COM port…

COM port or LPT port, if you have one. Many USB-to-Serial converters work
fine for COM port PTT keying, assuming you have the interface circuit
documented in the Win-Test manual.
A number of commercial products are also available. How are you connecting
your sound card output to your radio?
If you are using an Elecraft K3, you can send PTT via the K3 COM port's DTR
or RTS pin. Just set CONFIG:PTT-KEY in the K3's menu and Win-Test COM port
properties.
For other rigs, you can send PTT via software command and a LUA script.
If you are using an external DVK such as a microHAM box, there are even more
ways to generate PTT.
