[WT-support] NETWORKING PROBLEM, HELP

I HAVE TWO COMPUTERS--DELL LAPTOPS LATITUDE C840--BOTH COMPUTERS ARE RUNNING WINTEST, ONE VER 4.3 THE OTHER VER 4.7--BOTH CONNECT TO THEIR RESPECTIVE TRANSCEIVERS OK AND
I SET UP THE NETWORKING ACCORDING TO THE REFERENCE MANUAL-ONE, STN1, HAS THE TCP/IP AT IP 192.1268.000.1 THE OTHER,STN2, AT 192.168.000.2 AND THE OPTION CONFIGURATION ON BOTH IS SET AT 192.168.0.255, PORT NUMBR 9871 ON BOTH--- USING A CROSS OVER CABLE
NO COMMUNICATION BETWEEN COMPUTERS IS AVAILABLE.
ERROR MESSAGE:
"STN2 DETECTED A NETWORK ERROR: NETWORK IS GOING TO BE DISABLED: CAUSE: BAD NUMBER OF PROTOCOL NETWORK VERSION"
WHAT THE HECK???
ANY SUGESSTIONS/ HELP?
