[WT-support] How-to use a band decoder with a Ameritron RCS-10 and WINTEST

The easiest way is to connect the band decoder to your radio, so that you
can use it without running Win-Test. What type of radio do you have? Most
contest-quality radios have a band data output port.

The output cable from the band decoder drives the RCS-10.

If you have a printer port (LPT), Win-Test can put BCD band data signals on
LPT pins 2, 7, 8, and 9 via Options | Interface Configuration | Printer
Ports [Configure].

See http://docs.win-test.com/wiki/Menu:Options#Printer_Ports

<http://docs.win-test.com/wiki/Menu:Options#Printer_Ports>But, if you have a
new computer, it may not have an LPT port.

If you don't have a band data jack and you don't have an LPT port, you may
have to use a microHAM controller to make everything work.
