I think the new default directory names and program names in Win-Test are
just way too long, e.g.

C:\Documents and Settings\rawilson\My
Documents\win-test\IARU-HF-MIXED_2010 at N6TV\IARU-HF-MIXED_2010_Stn1 at N6TV.wt4

is a little hard to read and very hard to type (for those like me who got
started with DOS and still like doing things with the command prompt). I
still don't understand the value of creating a new sub-directory for every
new log.

Fortunately Options | Log | New contest file location let's you change this
(and you can set the default sub-directory name to *nothing*).

But as explained previously, I almost never use File | New because then I
have to reprogram all my CW messages and screen positions; it's always
easier to just copy and rename an old WT log, even a WT3 log (.WTB), so that
all of these things get set up exactly the same as they were "the last time"
I entered the contest. Having separate sub-directories makes doing that
harder; having every log in one directory makes that easier.

And that's what's wrong with the Win-Test 4 defaults (IMHO).
