[WT-support] [?? Probable Spam] Re: Rotator program

Do you still get an "Error opening socket" message when you try to fire up
both programs, no matter which one you start first?
You could try *adding* the parameter and setting it to 0, as the Windows 7
default may be to DisableAddressSharing if no entry is present.
Are you trying to run both wtRotators and PstRotatorAz at the same time? Do
you have more than one copy of PstRotatorAz or wtRotators running? Check
the task manager.
Did you give PstRotatorAz "full privileges" on the firewall, or
*only*Win-Test, wtRotators and wtDxTelnet? Try giving them
*all* "full privileges", and make sure port 9871 is not blocked, or try
disabling "auto-protect".
PstRotatorAz is very "fussy". See this
post<http://www.f5mzn.org/pipermail/support/2010-August/079924.html>for
a detailed explanation of how to use it with Win-Test. The start-up
sequence is critical, and you *cannot* use the loopback address
127.255.255.255 with PstRotators, you *have* to use the default broadcast
address that Win-Test calculates when you press the [By default] button in
Interfaces Configuration. That means your router has to allow traffic on
port 9871 too, if you try running the programs on separate computers (well
worth trying).
If you don't get the socket error message, but you still see no messages in
wtRotators when you enter a heading in Win-Test and press Ctrl-F12, it
probably means wtRotators is using the loopback address, but Win-Test is not
(or vice versa). All programs (Win-Test, wtDxTelnet, wtRotators,
PstRotatorAz) have to use the SAME broadcast address and port number.
Please re-install WT 4.51 on top of WT 4.6 to confirm that WT 4.51 works
fine with PstRotatorAz, but WT 4.6 does not. We already have one report
that says WT 4.6 no longer works with wtRotators, but PstRotatorAz was
supposed to be OK.
Are you running the latest version of PstRotatorAz?
