Here is the answer from Jozef at microHam.
It looks like it is a bug in WinTest. Meanwhile it is OK to do
what Jozef suggests. You may add a port for Headphone control also.

Ingo,

0014128234: H-TX: FT1 (set TX focus to R1)
0014129312: H-TX: FR1 (set RX focus to R1) <-- 1.078 ms late
0014129312: H-TX: FR2 (set RX focus to R2)
0014131468: H-TX: FR1 (set RX focus to R1)

I can repeat it. It's a bug and I have sent a note to Win-Test programmers.
Meanwhile guys find a time to look at it please use alternative control:

At SO2R tab in Router set:
- Classic auto control
- TX Focus = DTR | COM x
- RX Focus = Follow TX focus | COM x
- Stereo headphones = RTS | COM x

At Win-Test Configure Interfaces set:
- COM x = Other interface
- COM x = Configure
    DTR = Active Radio
    RTS = Stereo RX Audio

PTT HANDLING WITH WINKEY

PTT drops are related to how WK2 chip works.
When last character from its buffer is sent, WK2 do following delay between last falling edge of
CW element against falling edge of PTT:

- If Tail is set to constant:
1 dot + defined constant tail delay

- If Tail is proportional (Hang time):
1 dot +10ms, regardless if Hang time is set for 1.00, 1.33, 1.66 or 2.00 wordspace

However, paddle generated CW has different timing:

- If Tail is set to constant:
3 dots + defined constant tail delay

- If Tail is proportional (Hang time):
1.00 7 dots
1.33 8 dots
1.66 9 dots
2.00 10 dots

This behavior cannot be altered from logger or Router, it is hard coded in WK2. Please note, WK1
chip (used in CK, MK, MKII) has different timing, delay for computer sent CW is larger than
character space and does not cause this problem.

Problem is not visible with N1MM because logger keeps buffer filled and last character from buffer
is sent only at the end of macro.
To overcome this problem with Win-Test, please set the PTT Tail to constant time in Router.

Hope this helps
