[WT-support] from WPX - WK and bandmap

My pleasure Steve,

In multi op/multi station environment with just one serial number sequence being used between all stations (especially like MS in WPX now) you have to be able to send next serial number if RUN station has already given out the current one but has not yet logged it. If you send the current one then the number is given out twice. Even more simpler explanation is that the S&P operator is not always sure if the current number has been already give out by RUN or not and thus gives next serial and enters the QSO right after RUN station has entered his.

And when you have more than one S&P station then one of them might have already taken NR+1 (and has announced this through ALT-G or yelling as hard as he can that XXX is taken!) and then the other S&P station should give out NR+2. Then Run station enters his QSO, S&P1 enters his and S&P2 enters his.

Of course, alternative view to this is that don't bother about correct sequence and send the same number twice and correct the Cabrillo file later... I don't know if this is really correct way to act.

Tonno, can you explain a little about how you use $NEXTSERIAL, and how you would
use $NEXT2SERIAL and $NEXT3SERIAL ?

Out here in the rate-challenged western USA, it is not obvious.
