It depends on your configuration.

What you quoted is related to the bug #253. You can use 4.3.0 if your 
recording sound card is the default recording device and an microHam USB 
codec is not used. In short, when using the plain Line In or Microphone 
input of your default installed sound card, you can use 4.3.0
