No, the problem is that even though I don't change from "Plane pileup" as
scenario what happens when I use ESM and INSERT are not the same.

When I press insert it is behaving as expected, which means first
switching over to $R2R2 $INSERT $R1R2, but when I do the same with ESM it
shifts to whatever audio configuration I have selected.

If you try this and see if you get the same result as me,

1. Select "Plain pileup" standard scenario
2. Write for example SJ2W in the callsign field and press INSERT

It should now switch over to R2R2 during TX and back to R1R2 after TX is
over.

3. Enter some report, press + and it should switch to R2R2 during TX and
back to R1R2 afterwards.

4. Now clear the callsign field with ALT+W, enter SJ2W and press enter
with ESM mode enabled.

For me, it now just stays with BOTH for AUDIO, so it does not work the
same way as INSERT does.

5. Now enter some report and press ENTER again, the audio stays on BOTH
for me.

So the problem is not in the scenarios but somehow how ESM works.
