the MK2R+ seems a great product, but $1000 for it and hoping I can configure
it....,
 
...I think my old notebook with LPT will stay for many years in the
shack!!...

The MK2R+ is really your only choice if you don't have an LPT port.   But in
my opinion it is not that easy to configure.
