Yes, you will see M6XXX and MM6XXX flagged as invalid callsigns in V4 if
your callsign.pat file is out of date, and Tools | Data Entry | Callsign
check is enabled.
Download the new version of callsign.pat from
http://download.win-test.com/files/extra and save it as
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application
Data\Win-Test\extras\callsign.pat
then restart Win-Test and the problem will disappear. I just added this
info. to the Wiki <http://docs.win-test.com/wiki/Menu:Tools#Callsign_check>.
Here are the updates to callsign.pat since the June 2009 version:
! k1ttt 8/22/09
! removed: Error - Only numbers 0, 1, 3 or 5 in calls starting M! (F6FVY)
! changed to strong warning: No US calls with QRA-QUZ suffix! (NA6M)
! removed: Error - CT5 call is a V/UHF license! (change in CT prefix
structure)
! removed: Warning - rare, CT6,CT7 & CT8 are special event / contest
prefixes. (change in CT prefix structure)
!
! k1ttt 8/31/09
! add GA, MA, 2A prefixes
It would be nice if Win-Test provided a way to download and update this file
for you, similar to the way the country file update works today.
I hope this updated callsign.pat file will be included in the "full" version
of wt 4.2 when released, or in wt 4.2.0-update.exe when available.
