[WT-support] registration issue

hello,

may I humbly suggest that it is high time to reconsider these arcane
registration procedures.

I completely fail to see what all these hoops we have to jump through when
installing on different computers are supposed to accomplish.

For example, requiring an internet connection to be able to install software
is a PITA to put it mildly.

I wish that this issue would be dealt with at it´s root cause and soon.

Otherwise, I am a very happy user,
