... after so many praise messages for win-test, we've almost forgotten what exactly was the hostility Jim :-)

For sure anyone of us may and will find reasons not to be happy with win-test. However, how many times encouragement to the developers have generated the buy-out for them to go ahead with major win-test modifications and rewrites? Even sacrificing contest participations to be on the task? It's hard to say how many, but knowing them both, I am sure it is a lot.

We all share the same enthusiasm for the radio - the same with the win-test developers and few others responding with concise support answers on this list (almost around the clock) - let's stick to that and I am sure only happier we will get.

The support list seems very hostile lately.

I read on their web site, "Collected funds by Win-Test sales are
exclusively dedicated to the non-profit association RACK (Radio
Amateur Club de Kourou) to help our contest activities, especially the
  FY5KE activation during international contests."

It sounds like the authors are NOT getting rich with this software.
Do you know of ANY ham radio software authors who are getting rich?
I'd love to know (I'd love to be one).

Remember, most software is sold with a disclaimer, something like it
does what it does the best it can do, but can't be held liable for
loss, etc. Remember, this is a hobby. If Win-Test doesn't meet your
needs, there are other programs to choose from.

  No comments necessary.
