Dr Bob,
Tnx for quick answer. I've tried the ENTER and WRITE also and of course
no ESC.
I hope it will be OK with hidden file, because earlier I used another
computer for wintest.
I'll try it.

Maybe the .not file is there, but you cannot see the file extension
because it is hidden by Windows (by default).
Right Click on the Windows Start Button
Explore
Tools
Folder Options
View tab
Hide extensions for known file types (uncheck this)
Now you will be able to see .wtb, .not etc.
In Win-Test 4 the .not files are saved in the log directory defined via
Options | Log | New contest file properties and can be viewed via File |
Explorer | Log directory, but you said you are using Win-Test 3, so look
in C:\Program Files\Win-Test for your .not files.
One question: after typing your note, did you press [Enter] or the
[Write] button, or did you press [Escape] to close the window? If you
pressed [Escape], the note was not saved.

Hi all,
I've worked during WW CW and tried to make some notes with ALT N.
Unfortunately after the contest couldn't find the .not file.
After the contest I made some extra attempt tried to enter the message
on an exist qso and at the last line of the log too.
I tried to send the note message with ENTER and with clicking the
"write" button either. Nothing happened no .not file appeared.
Is it possible????? I've used this feature earlier without any problem.
(my version is 3.xxx)
