IMHO, it's CLEAR that DTR and RTS settings are totally dependent on the 
CAT level-interface, as the FT 1000D CAT output doesn't manage any 
hardware handshake (no such output pins on this transceiver) ! It is 
even obvious if the level interface has no external power supply.
