2008/5/16 Tom Taormina <tom at k5rc.cc>:
For multiop stations I presume you can only use CLEARLOG when one log is open, or will it work at all with networked logs?
If you follow the procedure documented here:
http://docs.win-test.com/wiki/Multi-op/Clearing_all_logs_before_the_start
it will clear all of the logs on the network, so be careful!
You should probably have Options, Automatic Backup enabled on at least one of your machines so you don't accidentally lose everything by mistake.
Also, How do you sync two networked logs if one has been off for a while?
As long as SYNC is enabled, it will happen automatically in the background when the new PC comes back online, unless Win-Test detects a big mismatch between the date of the log files on each computer. In that case, it displays a warning message and disables SYNC.
It can take a little while for the sync process to complete, but it all happens beautifully in the background, so you can log QSOs immediately after bringing up the new machine.

Bob, N6TV
