  apologise my very basic question.
   
  Would it be possible to know the actual IP addresses of
  both the 2 networked PC?
   
  this is the very first step toward a diagnosys.
  If I'm not qrong or if I didn't miss anything,
  I only read the you tried to use the 192.168.1.255  BROACAST 
  address but that's not enough, because it has to be compared 
  with the actual IP network addresses.
