It is a ratio control.

We will consider a "real" weight control for the internal 
keyer someday.

I hope so soon. :-)

I do NOT use the internal keyer function at all but I would 
like to be able to increase the weight of the programmed CW 
that is sent using the function keys!!! It is very 
disappointing to not have a basic weight adjustment 
available. It is so basic for any CW operator, like not 
having a compressor on a SSB radio.
