Olivier,
Just wanted to let you know I purchased Win-Test last week and give it a
try during a part time effort in the ARRL DX CW contest over the
weekend. This is an excellent program! I have been using NA and CT for
well over 10 years, but I have wanted to upgrade to a Windows based
contest program for quite a while. I never found one that meets all of
my needs until now. Your program is perfect! I recall hearing CT1BOH
on the air telling someone they should give Win-Test a try. He was
right!! It is very easy to set up and use, especially since it emulates
so many of the CT commands and features. Congratulations on a fabulous
product. I will be using Win-Test at K5MR in every contest from now on.
Would it be possible to add the NCJ North American Sprint contest?
Win-Test supports every contest I operate with the exception of the NA
Sprint.
NA has a special feature in CW mode for the NA Sprint contest called
"Sprint CW Logic". What this does is change the spot where the sending
station's call is inserted in the sent message dependent on whether the
sending station is answering a CQ or responding to a CQ call. This is
needed due to the unique QSY rule of the NA Sprint contest. Where the
sending station's call sign is inserted in the message indicates to
listening stations whether the sender will inherit the freq next or must
QSY.
For example:
CQ exchange sequence:
CQ NA K5MR
N5RZ answers my CQ...
Sent message: N5RZ K5MR NR Name State
Now if I answer another station's call the sequence is:
K5KA NR Name State K5MR
If my call is sent at the end of the exchange this tells others I just
inherited the freq. If my call is sent at the front end of the exchange
this indicates I must QSY after the QSO is complete.
Anyway, I hope this NA CW Sprint logic makes sense to you. Please let
me know if you have any questions and I will be happy to assist.
Congratulations again on development of a first class product!
73,
Steve - K5MR
