I will give you just a short reply.

Yes, CAT control and WinKey still need virtual COM ports. The "microHam" 
device in the COM port settings of WT is only used to control the SO2R 
switching.

You must setup the default audio setting in the Functions tab of the 
router. It is important to understand how it works. Also don't forget to 
select one configurated Function (F1 for example) before trying to play 
with the MK2R.

In the Functions Tab of the USB Device Router, I suggest to tick 
"TRANSMIT FOCUS / Auto" and "HEADPHONE SWITCHING / Auto". Also, untick 
the "HEADPHONE SWITCHING / Latch" checkbox.

My guess is that you don't have the lastest microHam Device Router 
version (mine is 4.0.10) which also include a firmware update for the MK2R.
