The problem Vaso reported was very specific to its unusual I/O address. 
There is no reason an usual 0x378 LPT port is not working. I think there 
are many users with this configuration, who are using the LPT port today.

Please, re-check your configuration (Options / Configure interfaces) and 
keep us informed.
