Dear Win-Test users,

Win-Test version 2.5.1 is ready for download:
http://download.win-test.com/wt-2.5.2.exe (3.4 Mb, full version)
http://download.win-test.com/wt-2.5.2-update.exe (1.8 Mb, update from WT
2.5.x, experimental)

This version comes with various fixes and new features, like a improved
support of the ZS4TX SO2R interface. Note that CI-V mode is no longer
needed for the Icom radios (F6IFY reported some problems through his
MultiKeyer interface, any comments welcome). Larry F6FVY added several
interesting new features in the exchange guessing (see below). Also it
is now possible to limit the displayed bands in CheckCall (F9),
CheckCountry (F10), Multipliers (Alt-M) and Zones (Alt-Z) windows. And
much more!

All the Win-Test team wish you an happy new year 2005!

Release file WT 2.5.2
---------------------
- Added menu "Windows | Close all windows" entry.

- Bugfix: A synchronization problem between processes caused
erratic behaviours in the use of EZMaster integrated WinKey. Tks
I4UFH of hamradiosolution who provided great support!

- Bugfix: wrong band data output with double-VFO rigs (like FT-1000MP).
   Fixed. Tks I4UFH.

- Abandonment of the CI-V mode with the Icom radios: Win-Test now
polls the rig to get its operating frequency and mode. The owners
of Icom radio must remember to disable the CI-V mode on their rig.

- One can now define on which port of the EZMaster are connected the
radios or TNC. That way, it is possible to connect a RS-232 rig to
either the COM or the RS-232 EZMaster connector.

- Bugfix: Radio 2 was not receiving rig information through EZMaster.
   Tks I4UFH.

- When the EZMaster WinKey is disabled, Win-Test does now configure
EZMaster to accept CW on the DTR line and PTT on the RTS line, both
via the USB port. Tks I4UFH.

- Bugfix: The speed pot changes is now ignored by WT when WinKey is
disabled in the EZMaster properties window. Tks I4UFH.

- Extended DVK, pin 7 and 8, can now be used. As WT only sends a short
pulse (100 ms long) to these pins, it is possible to share their
use with BandData output if the hardware (SO2R interface) supports
it. It is an option of the LPT configuration window. Tks ZS4TX.

- Added a StereoToggle signal on either pin 9 or 5. It is an option
of the LPT configuration window. Tks ZS4TX.

- New variables in the CW messages : $SPACEBAR and $TAB which mimic
a space bar or a tab key hit while playing. And $GUESSEXCH (or
$GUESSEXCHANGE) also mimics a space bar hit (filling exchange field(s)
if possible), but the cursor remains in the same edit field. This way,
you can easily save a spacebar hit by using the following Ins key msg :

   $LOGGED $QSOB4 $GUESSEXCH $F2 (the cursor will not move)

   or

$LOGGED $QSOB4 $SPACEBAR $F2 (the cursor will move to the next field)

(assuming the F2 msg contains the exchange message to send).

   Tnx CT1BOH.

- Experimental : Exchange guessing (from the various databases or from
the previous QSOs worked) can now be triggered in three different ways
(use the Edit / Guess exchange mode menu item to choose of the three
   options) :

   - After hitting the space key : It was the default mode, and was
     used until this version.

   - After every key hit in the callsign field. Please note, even if
we tried to optimize at most this process, it is a bit CPU-intensive
and synchronous to key typing. Old computers users and/or high
speed typists may experience a slowing down. All reports are
	welcome.

   - After a timeout : For now, this timeout is fixed and set to 1,5
second. The exchange fields are filled after this timeout of
keyboard inactivity in the callsign field.

- New contextual menu items in the CheckCall (F9), CheckCountry (F10),
Multipliers (Alt-M) and Zones (Alt-Z) windows to choose which bands
to display in these windows. These items are only available for the
non-monoband contests. This can be useful, for example, if :

   - You are taking part as a monobander in a multiband contest.
Then, you don't need to waste screen space with the other bands
	data.

   - You are taking part in a multiband contest, but you don't have
any antenna or equipment on such and such bands : You can then
	hide them in these windows.

Note that choosen bands are recorded in the data file, and that these
   four windows are all synchronized.

- The CheckCountry (F10) window has been redesigned for VHF+ contests
   Tnx F6BGC.

- Bugfix : Hitting Ins right after a * was sending the wrong callsign
and, also, the dupe checking failed.

- Bugfix : Stew Perry contest : The CATEGORY: line included an
irrelevant LIMITED keyword instead of ALL. Tnx F5IN.

- Bugfix : UBA Contest : You were not warned if a new country was
   entered.

- Bugfix : Choosing 'All bands' in the zones window (Alt-Z) might
randomly lead to a crash. Tnx VE3EY

- Bugfix : In Baltic or ARRL 10 meter contests in mixed category,
hitting space or tab kays when editing sent report was crashing WT.
